Apex Martial Arts Center is hosting our 27th IKF Point Kickboxing (PKB), Point Muay Thai (PMT), and Point Boxing (PBSC) Tournament.

EVENT LOCATION: Apex Martial Arts Center – 737 Center St. Apex, NC 27502

Event Details

This is a semi-contact, continuous fighting tournament where the emphasis is on **technique and scoring—**not power. Knockouts are not allowed.

Same-day registration is no longer available.

To ensure a smooth and efficient experience for all participants, registration will close at 7:00 PM on Friday, June 6, 2025. We highly encourage all competitors to register early.

If you are unable to attend, a credit for a future event will be offered. If you don’t get a match, we will issue a refund.

Rounds

Adults (>18) will spar for two 2-minute rounds with a 1-minute break. If it’s a draw, a 1-minute tie-breaker round will be added.
Youth (13-17) will spar for two 1.5 minute rounds with a 1-minute break in between. If it’s a draw, a 1-minute tie-breaker will be added.
Kids (5-12) will spar for two 1-minute rounds with a 1-minute break.

Rules

We will be following these rule sets:

Point Kickboxing (International Rules. Punches & Kicks Only.)
Point Unified Rules (Limited clinch: 3–5 seconds)
Point Modified Muay Thai (Clinch & Sweeps allowed)

No elbows or knees to the head are permitted for any rule style.

Required Gear

16oz gloves for adults. 12oz gloves for kids.
Muay Thai shorts. Gym shorts and MMA shorts not allowed.
Hand wraps or tape & gauze.
Shin guards w/foot guard (sock shin guards are permitted).
Head Gear. Full-face headgear w/jaw bar or full faceguard are permitted for fighters who choose to wear it.
Groin protection.
Mouth guard.
Boxing shoes (for boxers).
Corners MUST bring a bucket, water, towel, tape (to tape headgear and shin guards) and any other necessary supplies.

The above gear is mandatory. You cannot compete without it!

Schedule

Fighters

Kids/Teens/Adults Fighter weigh-ins: 9:00am.
Bracket building begins at 10:15am.
Rules meeting begins at 11:15am.
Sparring begins at 12:15pm.

SPECTATORS

Spectators’ entry at 11:00am.

FIGHTER REGISTRATION

Fighters MUST register by Friday, June 6th at 7:00pm.
