CARDIO KICKBOXING

Cardio Kickboxing (a.k.a. Level 1 Kickboxing and Fitness Kickboxing) will kick-start your fitness goals and deliver an exhilarating aerobic workout that boosts endurance, burns fat, tones muscle, and builds fundamental self-defense skills.  Perfect for all fitness levels, this class offers a high-energy environment where you can push your limits while learning authentic striking techniques.During a typical 60-minute workout, you can expect to burn between 600-800 calories.  Plus, you’ll learn real Muay Thai & Kickboxing striking and blocking techniques that are not only great for fitness but also applicable in real-world self-defense scenarios.

What to Expect in a Cardio Kickboxing Class:

  • Warm-Up: Every class begins with a 10-minute warm-up that gradually increases in intensity, featuring aerobic exercises and various calisthenics to get your heart pumping and muscles primed.
  • Partner Drills: After warming up, you’ll team up with a partner—one person puts on gloves, and the other holds Thai pads.  The instructor will demonstrate 2-3 strike combinations, and you’ll practice these combos with your partner for 5 rounds, refining your technique and building your confidence.
  • Power Cardio Finish: We wrap up each session with a power cardio workout, where you’ll go through 3-minute rounds of heavy bag work.  This is where everything you’ve learned during the class comes together, delivering an intense, full-body workout.  By the end of class, you’ll be drenched in sweat, so bring an extra shirt!

TRAINING GEAR

Students are required to have hand wraps and 12oz or 14oz boxing gloves.  We’ll supply the rest.
